A seasoned real estate developer, hotelier and community philanthropist, Katherine Durant serves as CEO of Provenance, guiding strategic direction for the company’s growing portfolio of full-service, boutique lifestyle hotels encompassing 14 properties in eight cities and six states. The latest development in Fort Wayne, Indiana – The Bradley – opened in July 2021.  

Ms. Durant is dually President of RTG Property Management and Managing Partner at Atlas Investments, a diversified real estate development and holding company, overseeing and executing development endeavors, investor relations and income property due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions.  

From 2003 to 2017, she served on the board of the Oregon Investment Council, the body responsible for overseeing and investing $80 billion in state pension funds for public employees. Durant has also served on the Oregon Energy Planning Council, Pratt School of Engineering Board of Visitors for Duke University, Portland Art Museum Board of Directors, Elevate Oregon Board of Directors, CAP (Cascade AIDS Project) as well as the School Board of Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon. 

In 2016, Ms. Durant was named one of the Northwest region's most influential women in business by Portland Business Journal based on her professional accomplishments and philanthropic efforts to support the community.  

As co-founder of the Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation, which was established in 1993, Ms. Durant has long been engaged in charitable efforts that impact not only local organizations like the Portland arts community and childhood education but on both a national and international scale with the Military Service Initiative by the Bush Center in Dallas, plus African hunger programs – including a nutrition program for the Simonga Village School in Zambia.
